Intake ("the App") is designed with your privacy as a priority. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it's used, and your rights regarding that data.
Data Collection
Intake does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter into the App stays on your device.
The App stores the following types of data locally:
- Drink logs and counts
- Daily and weekly goals
- Symptom records
- Journal entries
- App preferences and settings
Apple HealthKit Integration
With your permission, Intake integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write health-related data. This includes:
- Number of alcoholic beverages consumed
- Symptom logs (headache, nausea, fatigue, etc.)
- State of Mind data (iOS 18+)
All HealthKit data remains on your device and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policies. Intake never accesses this data for any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties.
Apple Watch
If you use Intake on Apple Watch, data is synced between your iPhone and Watch using Apple's secure WatchConnectivity framework. This data transfer happens directly between your devices and does not pass through any external servers.
Analytics and Tracking
Intake does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not track your usage of the App or collect any behavioral data.
In-App Purchases
Intake offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. Any payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your data with third parties. Your data belongs to you.
Data Export
Intake provides the ability to export your data as a CSV file. This exported data is handled entirely by you and shared only at your discretion.
Data Deletion
You can delete all App data at any time by:
- Deleting the App from your device
- Using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings
- Managing HealthKit data through Apple's Health app
Children's Privacy
Intake is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
